Saltwater spray kisses my face as the ferry cuts across the glassy green-blue water. The island waits ahead—full of laughter, dancing, and the kind of embraces that make your skin tingle. It’s been a while since I’ve seen the family. My heart races at the thought of it - of seeing her. I remember being small. Sitting beneath the coconut tree, tears falling quietly into the dirt. “Why am I different?” I whispered. She pulled me close and spoke the words that would set me free. Who I thought I was changed that day, and I have my grandmother to thank for that.

While the world rested peacefully beneath the luminaries in the night sky, Jarra wandered endlessly through troubled dreams, drifting far from his country and further from himself. As the shadows of sleeplessness begin to consume him, the spirits of the sky grow concerned, yet neither can restore what Jarra has lost. Only the keeper of life understands the truth. Through a powerful waking dream across the ancient lands of Australia, Jarra is guided by creatures of country, in a bid to waken his spirit and return him to himself. Sunray Dreamtime is a mythic journey of restoration, belonging, and the sacred connection between spirit, land, and creation.
